Job Summary: This position is a FULL-TIME position. Primary responsibility is to assist Director and Deputy Director of Social Services with personnel development, contract management, training planning and facilitating, policy and procedure development, administrative responsibilities including supervision of office staff, participate in community partnerships, understanding of all Social Service programs including Eligibility, Welfare to Work, Child Welfare, and Adult services. Requires skill in maintaining accurate records, the ability to learn Social Services funding sources, proper fiscal practices and preparing sensitive documents. Specific duties will include assisting with hiring, training new employees, policy review, board of supervisor’s agenda items, preparing reports/presentations for CAO and Board, as well as many special projects. Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and skills is acceptable; equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with course work in business or public administration, or work in a related field and 2 years of experience in a combination of business management and financial analysis, preferably in a public agency setting.
