The Ombudsman II will provide advocacy to residents living in long-term care facilities by maintaining a presence at assigned facilities on a regular basis for the purposes of hearing, investigating, and resolving complaints made by or on behalf of residents in the outlying counties of Lassen, Modoc, and Siskiyou. Must complete the 36-hour State Certification training and complete at least 12 hours of continuing education per year. Must provide Ombudsman services in a manner consistent with the federal and state requirements as well as the local program policies and procedures. Must be able to relate to older adults in an understanding and helpful manner. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must provide own vehicle and be able to travel within the 3 outlying counties (Lassen, Modoc & Siskiyou) & possess a valid drivers' license with minimum statutory required insurance.
