THE CITY OF ALTURAS is looking for a skilled individual that is under the direction of the City Council, to plan, organize, monitor, and direct the City’s financial management programs which include: investment of funds, accounting and revenue administration; to advise City Council regarding municipal financial matters; and to perform related work as required. THE MODOC COUNTY Road Department has one opening for a Road Maintenance Worker I or II in Davis Creek. The job is for the construction, maintenance and repair of roads, bridges and rights-of-way. Job and salary level will be determined by applicant experience. Both I and II require using and maintaining commonly used hand/power road maintenance tools and equipment; making accurate arithmetic calculations; understanding and following oral and written directions; performing heavy physical labor on a regular basis; preparing basic records and reports of work performed; and working without close supervision in standard work situations.  In addition, level II requires the ability to operate and maintain a variety of light and heavy construction equipment, and the ability to direct the work of a crew on a project basis. The position requires graduation from high school or equivalent. If selected, applicant will be required to obtain a valid Class A license within 6 months of his/her hire date. The expense of the testing will be borne by the applicant and the applicant will be responsible for finding a suitable vehicle for the driving test (no County vehicle will be used for the driving test). MODOC MEDICAL CENTER has openings for a Physical Therapy Aide for our Physical Therapy Department.This position is Full Time and benefit eligible. Wage rate is $14.35- 17.92 dependent on experience. The PT Aide is responsible for receiving and making calls in a courteous and professional manner. Sets up patient appointments and maintains patient records and calendar. Verifies insurance and obtains authorization for treatment as needed. Registers patients using hospital software and is responsible for daily billing. Generates reports as requested by the Director of Physical Therapy. Collects co-pays and other monies from patients; follows hospital policies for dealing with money and deposits daily receipts with the Finance Department. Inventories and requisitions supplies and equipment. Assists Physical Therapists to complete daily assignments. Helps patients prepare for treatment. Monitors patients under the therapist’s direct supervision. Preps rooms for patient treatments; cleans rooms and equipment after treatments. Maintains a good working relationship within the department, other departments and medical staff. Willing to accept additional assignments.
